Title: WIMAX BTS Radio Design Manager
Work Location: Guangzhou
Summary:
WIMAX BTS Radio Development team is looking for calibers both internally and externally for the position of WIMAX BTS Radio Design Manager working on the suite of Wireless products.
Main Responsibilities:
- People management & development: Recruiting, building, and managing a software design team of 12 to 15 people, and developing and implementing plans for the career / personal development of the team members.
- Project management: Ensure the quality and on time delivery of the committed project by participating in the project planning, resource management, progress tracking, and status reporting activities.
Requirements:
- B.S. or above in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related
- 5+ years of experience in the telecommunication industry, with 1+ year in a technical leader/management role
- Strong communication skills, both in English and Mandarin.
- Ability and willingness to handle multiple assignments, adapt to fast-changing circumstances, and do what it takes to get the job done
- Self-motivated, open-minded and champion teamwork spirit within and across the teams
- Understanding of the industry quality systems, include but not limited to TL9000, CMMI
- Solid knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: C/C++ and one of the major telecommunication product/solution: Wimax/UMTS/GSM/CDMA/VoIP
- Familiarity with usage of Version management, Configuration management and Defect tracking system tools
- Working closely with Product Managers and Project Leaders to establish and execute development programs for the delivery of the global products and services.
- Understanding of the Development Process PEMS.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a global environment across multiple time zones.
- Understanding of wireless radio
- Understanding of PowerPC™ RISC microprocessor programming

Job Description:
The Networks provides exciting career opportunities in Wireless Networks. The WiMAX Systems Design group focus is on technical innovation and excellence in WiMAX products’design. The group has responsibility for WiMAX system requirements, high level design, performance evaluation/ verification and system simulation.
Our group works with other development, verification, advance technology, and field support groups at various sites around the world. The working mandate provides our engineers with the ability to influence product development from conception, through verification to field test and deployment.
This is a senior role to lead and drive such kind of high capable team.
Main Responsibilities:
- People management & development: Recruiting, building, and managing the WiMAX system design team, and developing and implementing plans for the career / personal development of the team members
- Project management: Ensure the quality and on time delivery of the committed projects by participating in the project planning, resource management, progress tracking, and status reporting activities. Responsible for the overall quality of the products could meet the market requirement.
Requirements:
- Master or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering- 4+ years of experience in the telecommunication industry, with 1+ years in a technical lead/management role and people management role
- Fluent spoken English and good writing skill, CET-6 is preferred
- Experience in complex software feature development, software tool, as well as software project management
- Experience in wireless network simulation or link level simulation
- Strong process focus
- Demonstrated technical leadership & initiative is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
- Good knowledge of Matlab, OPNET
- WiMAX system and product analysis, system design
- Understanding of the products and development Process

Title: WiMax ASG Designer
Work Location: Guangzhou
Main Responsibilities:
- WiMax ASG Software development and responsible for feature “High level design” , “Detailed Design”, “Coding”, “Integration Testing”
- Wimax ASG design sustaining
- Communication with multi-site development teams and follow design USDRP process
- Wimax ASG Software development areas:
1) Call processing compliant with Wimax Forum Network working group (NWG) spec. and IEEE 802.16e standards
2) Designer debug tools evolution
3) the 3rd party code’s evolution and integration
4) Wimax ASG Base
5) Wimax ASG application S/w development
Requirements:
- Bachelor or above in Computer Science /Telecommunication
- 1~2 years experiences in telecommunication industry- Fluent spoken English and good writing skill, CET-6 is preferred
- Solid knowledge of UNIX, C/C++ or related programming language
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skill
